Book Review: Unlocking Worlds by Sally Allen

Unlocking Worlds – a reading companion for book lovers

This book has greatly added to my (already massive) TBR pile. The author gives you snippets of her own life, reading history, and how books have shaped her. (If I have any complaint about this book, it’s that I would have liked to have been told *more* of her story as it was very interesting in its own right.)  With each chapter, she gives ten titles with reviews that correspond in some way to the personal experiences she is sharing. At its most basic core, this is a book full of book reviews. I found books that I have read but many that I had not and some that I had never even heard of before. It was a very interesting experience to immerse into so many varied book reviews in one place.

So if you are trying to create your first list of to-be-read titles or if you unabashedly add more to your already massive list, this would be a good book for you to read.
