These are the titles I acquired in August.
The Little Women is an edition I have been wanting since I first laid eyes on it and with good reason. It’s a treasured story and this will be my most treasured copy of it. I also purchased Riverkeep during that same outing, which was at Parnassus Books. Seating Arrangements was my postal book club book this month. Some rather irredeemable characters in that one. And Then There Were None and A Clockwork Orange were spur of the moment purchases from Thrift Books. The Great Journey, The Book of Esther, and The Eye of the World were gifts from a friend. Girl In Pieces, One Half from the East, and The Burning of the White House are all ARCs that were won from various places on the web.
I also received digital ARCs for The Ghost Of Christmas Past by Michael Hebler and Rare Earth Exchange by Bernard Besson through LibraryThing and The Cancer Fighting Kitchen, Second Edition published by Ten Speed Press, In Such Good Company by Carol Burnett, and What Lies Beyond the Stars by Michael Goorjian through Netgalley.
Lots to read, now onward and forward to see what next month will hold.
